Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University invites applications for an open position for a faculty member in the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, School of Animal Science, Faculty of Applied Life Science.
Please note in advance that our university adopts a fixed-term employment system (five-year appointment; reappointment is possible).

I. Job title and number of staff positions available : One Assistant Professor or Senior Assistant Professor position in Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, School of Animal Science, Faculty of Applied Life Science
II. Job content and overview :

Outline of education and research areas and teaching responsibilities
Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, School of Animal Science, Faculty of Applied Life Science is in charge of education and research in the following areas and holds teaching responsibilities as listed below. The successful candidate is expected to teach these courses either independently or jointly, and also expected to cooperate management of the Fuji Animal Farm, a farm affiliated with the University.

Education and research on Animal Nutrition in the field of Animal Science.

[Teaching responsibilities]
(1) Undergraduate course
Animal Nutrition, Feeds and Feeding, Forage Science, Feed Science, Introduction to Animal Science, Dairy and Meat Animal Science, Practice of Farm Training, Graduation thesis, etc. (The successful candidate is expected to teach these courses either independently or jointly.)

(2) Graduate course
Special Lecture on Animal Nutrition Science, Specialized Seminar on Animal Nutrition Science, Specialized Study on Animal Nutrition Science, etc.（After graduate faculty qualifications, the successful candidate is expected to teach these courses either independently or jointly.）
III. Qualifications for applicants :
(1)
Applicants should have a proven track record in education and research on Animal Nutrition, and Feeds and Feeding Research of Cattle (ideally Beef Cattle), in the field of Animal Science, or have the ability to do so.
(2)
Applicants should be enthusiastic about teaching students and be motivated to engage in education/research activities and management of the School of Animal Science and the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition with sincereness and cooperativeness.
(3)
Applicants must have a doctoral degree.
(4)

Applicants should be able to teach in Japanese.

(5)

Applicants should be able to play roles in homeroom teacher duties (including dealing with parents), entrance examinations (for the university and the Common Entrance Examination), public relations activities (open campus and high school visits), and various committee activities.
