Research
Our laboratory conducts various studies aimed at improving the treatment of diabetic animals. Notably, the effects of various types of insulin in diabetic dogs and cats that we reported are cited in the endocrinology texts in veterinary medicine. Additionally, we are conducting research on other endocrine disorders, such as Cushing’s syndrome. In recent years, much of our research has focused on the fecal microbiome. We examine how the fecal microbiome of dogs and cats changes when they are fed various diets and supplements, discussing how to achieve a better intestinal environment. Furthermore, we also create and analyze homemade food recipes to ensure they meet the nutritional standards for dogs and cats, aiming to develop simple and highly nutritious recipes.
Guidance policy for graduate students
We place a strong emphasis on individual motivation. If motivated, we provide multiple research themes and support the writing of several English papers as the lead author. This approach aims to enhance future research activities and achievements.

|
Monday |
| – Morning: | Graduate classes |
| – Afternoon: | Searching for research papers, reading papers, seminar |
Tuesday |
| – Morning: | Experiments |
| – Afternoon: | Assisting in practical training |
Wednesday |
| – Morning: | Assisting with endocrinology consultations at the Animal Medical Center |
